BBA 2103: Operations Management
Dear Students,
Welcome you to the Operations Management Course.
This is a compulsory course unit for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree programme, which deals with fundamentals of Operations Management that enables student to learn a state of the art view of the activities of the Operations function.
Operations management as one of the main functional areas in organizations deals with the systematic planning, design, and operations needed to manufacture and deliver products and services. This course intends to provide students with basic knowledge and competencies in production/operations management to enable managers to take effective operations decisions.
Operations is an exciting area of management that has a profound effect on the productivity of both manufacturing and service organizations. Indeed, a few activities have as much impact on the quality of our lives. Operations Management includes a blend of topics from industrial engineering, management, management science and statistics. As a multi-disciplinary field, Operations Management focuses on economy related problems from an organizational perspective within business organizations.
